Zdzislaw (Mike) Prochownik is one of Canada's best known bass bow
makers, working in Winnipeg for many years now. As a professional bassist he
understands the needs of musicians, and his bows are much sought after for their
responsiveness and general playability. The frog on this bow is of good quality
German manufacture. Slight signs of wear but in very good condition. Haired in white, weight is a rather light 122grams. The frog has been substantially modified by Reid Hudson for comfort in the hand, so some of the lower than average weight comes from that expert carving.
